What astoundingly worthless support
What a waste of time on the phone and in chat. My BE800 is not doing as well as my BE550 so I simply wanted suggestions on which frequency to choose for the different bands.

No mater what company you go to, support most times leave a lot to be desired.
Without specific equipment in your house, I do not know of a way anyone can tell which frequency is best for you. Two houses side by side may and most likely have different best ones. And to make it even harder, it can change throughout the day.
You need to use auto or try different ones and different widths to see what works best.

Determining the best channels (frequencies) can only be done once a Wi-Fi congestion survey has been performed within your home. To suggest optimal Wi-Fi channels for each of the bands, we would first need to know which channels are most congested in your home/area. The latest firmware update for the BE800 was rather massive in terms of feature additions and performance optimizations.
In what ways is your BE800 underperforming compared to your BE550?
