@Steve_Winter1
Sorry to hear your experience was anything less than satisfactory.
Determining the best channels (frequencies) can only be done once a Wi-Fi congestion survey has been performed within your home. To suggest optimal Wi-Fi channels for each of the bands, we would first need to know which channels are most congested in your home/area. Without this information, our support team will be limited in the suggestions they can offer.
That said, have you tried checking for Wi-Fi congestion using an app, like our TP-Link Wi-Fi Toolkit App? You can find the app on the App Store or Google Play. The Wi-Fi Toolkit offers a plethora of network insights and troubleshooting tools, all at your fingertips - one of which is the ability to scan for Wi-Fi interference in your area and provide you with insights into which channels are the most congested. This way, you can try to mitigate the influence of Wi-Fi congestion by selecting less crowded channels on your BE800.
The latest firmware update for the BE800 was rather massive in terms of feature additions and performance optimizations.
In what ways is your BE800 underperforming compared to your BE550?
