3 switches and smart actions
Hello - I have yet to find a solution for my scenario. I'm hoping someone can help find a way to achieve the result I need.
Switch 1
Switch 2
Switch 3 (remote device)
I need smart actions to do these things:
- Switch 1 to turn ON Switch 3 (no issues here)
- Switch 2 to turn ON Switch 3 (no issues here)
- Switch 1 to turn OFF Switch 3 IF Switch 2 is OFF
- Switch 2 to turn OFF Switch 3 IF Switch 1 is OFF
Is this possible?
This is for a hot water recirculation pump (switch 3) and light switches in two different bathrooms (switch 1 and switch 2). The pump needs to be on as long as either bathroom is in use, but unfortunately turning the light off in either will turn off the pump.
I would assume that you are using the Kasa App for these automations?
In the Kasa App, there is no way to Configure a Condition (If Statement) that will prevent the automation from running. Fortunately, you can link your Kasa and Tapo Accounts so that your Kasa devices can be automated in either place. In the Tapo App, you are given the extra option to use the switches as a condition - which should allow you to easily configure the last two automations.
