Network netmask (prefix length) is not tuned correctly
Getting this warning from Fing.
Can someone please explain in a step by step fashion how to fix this?
Also, please explain how much work each step will cause (for example, will I have to restart every device on my network --a huge hassle) and does it lose all the naming information that I have gone to a lot of trouble to setup?
Dont just say things like "cange your subnet from xxx to yyy", explain what that means and what are the repurcussions of doing so.
Basically, with each step, don't assume I know what you know.
I am a technical person (and was a sys admin a long time ago, and am an advanced UNIX/LINUX coder, and was in technical support for probably the most complicated software on the planet (EDA/DRC/LVS)--so I'm not a total noob--I'm just not as familiar with networking protocols as maybe you are.
This Hardware/software is a consumer product, so explanations should be for consumers--not IT gurus.
