Model: Deco BE63
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0

(Note: Hardware version is US/1.6; V1 is closest option in drop-down.)

After numerous problems maintaining network access to my 5TB WD My Passport drive attached to my router BE63, I finally seem to have it stabilized on my Windows 11 24H2 PC. (Hint: In addition to all the checkboxes suggested, connect to the network server named simply "BE63" with the standard share, in my case "g" -- NOT the detailed name of your BE63 USB connection as the instructions suggest.) My Deco app is configured to allow access without a password; it also has Media Sharing, Network Neighborhood, and local FTP access on (or rather did, as my USB device just disappeared from the Deco app though my PC can still access it in multiple ways -- edit: fixed by stopping & restarting the Deco app on my Android phone).

I also own an HDHomeRun Flex 4K with DVR capabilities, which I've been trying to set up as a DVR so I can finally cancel YouTube TV & "cut the cord" entirely. I just discovered that the HDHomeRun can use a NAS as its DVR storage; however, it apparently will connect only if the HDHomeRun can connect directly to SSH port 22 on the NAS -- here, the BE63 itself. If you attempt to enable it using HDHomeRun software on my PC, it tries to direct me to the Deco router login page (useless for Decos) to enable SSH port 22. Alas, TP-Link has decided to enable SSH port 22 on Decos only for its own applications, with NO way to enable it for other devices.

Is there any way to update Deco firmware to enable access from within the LAN to SSH port 22 from the HDHomeRun or other local devices? If this is not enabled, I will be forced to use only an SSD connected directly to the HDHomeRun for exclusive DVR access. Since the HDHomeRun formats such devices exclusively for its use, I cannot connect my WD drive directly to it. If I can use the WD drive with my HDHomeRun, I would like to move the SSD back to my Hisense U8K TV for use with its own tuner's DVR / rewind & pause feature, which despite its DRM support for ATSC 3.0 (something the HDHomeRun Flex 4K infamously did not and for now cannot implement despite being the first widely available ATSC 3.0 tuner), is not very good for DVR use since it only has one tuner (meaning you can't watch one program & record another, or record two programs at once).

Edit: Just to clarify, I am NOT seeking to open port 22 to the whole world, only to the LAN side of the router.
