Model: Deco XE5300
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.2.14

Guys,  I am struggling with adding my Blink Sync devices (and therefore the cameras) to my home network. First my setup.

I have the TP-Link Archer GXE 75 Running NordVPN.  I have set up a Guest network running dedicated 2.4GHz and WPA2.  SSID is TB-Link_Guest_21
C4.

On my Deco system I am using the IOT network set at dedicated 2.4GHz and WPA2 SSID is Tp-Link Deco_IoT

The password is identicle on both networks.

I have disabled NordVPN on the router.

When I try to add either of my blink Sync Modules (model 2 and I purchased an XR thinking Model 2 must be broken or incompatible).

I get to the blue blinking light on the Blink Sync modlue, it connects to my phone and seeks the connection to the wifi and then says I have entered a bad password.

I have done a firmware reset on the Sync modules.  At this point I am at wits end.

Help please.

@HelpFixDecoApp I am also struggling. I have exhausted all of the Blink support suggestions. It is something with the router as the Blink Sync Module connects to a phone hotspot just fine. I have tried disabling a lot of things, the extender, setting a static IP, disable QoS, disable device isolation, connecting to a 2.4 ghz ssid. I have changed the security to WPA (AES) and WPA with TKIP. The device connects to the network (it shows in my device list) but it cannot connect to the Blink servers. I have a BE6500 Dual band WiFi 7 router. What other suggestions do you have?

Hi  @Pickles18,

Welcome to the community.

Could you please provide some additional information about your network setup and topology? This will help us better understand what may be causing the trouble you're having with your Blink Sync Modules.

For example, you chose the Deco XE5300 as your model when posting, but also referenced the Archer GXE75, as well as a BE6500 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 7 router.

So that we can better assist, can you please let us know:

1. What is the model of the main router in your network?

2. Do you have any additional routers and/or Deco Mesh systems in the same network?

3. How are they connected (Mesh Wi-Fi or Ethernet)?

4. Which operating mode is each using (e.g., Router Mode or Access Point Mode)?

5. What are their firmware versions?

6. Which SSID/network are you attempting to connect your Blink Sync Modules to - and which of the models that you referenced is controlling that SSID/network?

@Pickles18 Try removing special characters from SSID...
