I have my mesh network connected backhaul.

within the app it's telling me my speed is low. When I disconnect from backhaul my speeds seems faster. I checked and replaced all my cat 5 wires with cat 8 wires. Any suggestions to get my backhaul faster. When I do a speed test in the app I'm at an average of 1.4G. I'm paying for 1.3G.

Hi  @Brandip

Can you provide a little more context around where the app is telling you your speed is slow? Are you receiving a notification, or are you referring to the real-time throughput at the main screen in the Deco?

If the latter, I'd recommend checking out our Knowledge Base Article: Understanding the Difference Between Your Network Speed and Your Internet Speed

when you click on each individual satellite. The one I have connected to the router seems to be running correctly. The other two, when I click on each individual satellite it says "the ethernet backhaul speed is low. Please check your ethernet cable connection. I have

Thanks for clarifying. How is your Ethernet backhaul physically being established?

For example, are the satellites both connected to the main Deco directly, or are they daisy-chained?

Is there an Ethernet switch involved?

Also, have you tried connecting a Gigabit capable wired device, such as a PC, directly to one of the cat8 cables and checking whether it negotiates at Gigabit speeds?

  @Ryan

That's the message I'm getting. The two satellites are plugged into the Cat 8 cable. From the wall to the satellite. Main Deco is plugged into the modem. No switches. I will have to try connecting my laptop to the cable from the port in the wall to see if I'm getting at least gigabit. Have you seen this message before? Scree

Thanks for the screenshot and added context. Have you performed speed tests at each of the wired Deco nodes (e.g., plug a laptop into each node via Ethernet and run a speed test) to see if there is any backhaul degradation occurring?

What is your firmware version?

Another thing I'm curious about is whether you've had a chance to try swapping the Ethernet connection to the opposite port on each node - just to see if renegotiating the connection changes anything.

I swapped the cable on the port on the satellites and no change. I don't have a laptop with Ethernet capabilities. Any other suggestions?

Sorry for the delay. What type of Ethernet cable did you swap in? Was it more CAT8, or a more suitable category, such as CAT6?

If you don't mind me asking, what brand of CAT8 cabling are you using?
