Deco updates -

XE75 Pro V2, updates are far and few between, this version is out of sync with the XE75 V1. The latter has features that the newer and upgraded model doesn't have. This is ridiculous. I am looking into another manufacturer for a replacement since TP-Link is not responsive to customer and security concerns.

Thanks for the offer, but the only issue to investigate is where the hell are TP-Link's "engineer's"?
I do have the V1's as main, but all the new features are completely unavailable due to the presence of the V2's and X50 Outdoor on the network. I thought I was purchasing a "complete" system as a whole by buying a single model with the paired outdoor model. I couldn't have been more wrong.I had no choice as to what version I bought via online and it's unfortunate I ended up with multiple version's of the same model (WTF?).
I do have all the units set as one mesh system. Doing as you suggest and removing the outdoor unit from the mesh completely negates the whole point of using an integrated mesh system and even if I did that, the V2's will be holding back the V1's.
The final conclusion is that I have given TP-Link over a year to catch all their units up to each other and they have failed miserably. This forum is riddled with users begging and pleading for updates and information on when their hundreds or thousands of dollar investments will be supported and I rarely see any positive outcomes from TP-Link.
I've never used the Eero system before but I have verified that all their routers are running on the same platform and when one is updated, they ALL are updated (much like iPhones).Plus, I have counted 21 Eero bug and feature updates last year and 12 so far this year. Doesn't that make you sick compared to TP-Link's singular bug fix update per year (if you're lucky)?
If you notice, this post has been up since June 11th and there is radio silence from TP-Link? When it comes to my jump to Wi-Fi 7, I am outta here!

@Tommy61 Models are not released at the same time. So non-pro was likely released before pro. Naturally the older models have higher firmware numbers.
To see this more clearly check out RE605X. I have an old Version 1.6. the higher versions have more features than my old one, and later release date firmware to match...

It's not natural to have different firmwares and features for like models just because they're manufactured a few months apart. If an XE75Pro V1 and an XE75Pro V2 are so vastly different with different feature sets (V2 being much less), then it should be renamed to XE74Pro.
I bought 3 XE75Pros (all V1's) then TWO months later I bought another 2-pack but received V2's. For the past year I have been waiting and hoping and checking that TP-Link will release a feature parity firmware for the V2's like they said they would, but I fear they will not
They've also been promising the same for the X50-Outdoor compared to the X50 for the past year.
Can you imagine an iPhone 16 bought in November having more features than an iPhone 16 bought in February? It's mind boggling, TP-Link should be better than this and I think people should know that they operate this way.

@JohnnyBoy I'll refrain from saying what type of phone I use....
But since my son loves the Apple ecosystem I know by November iPhone 17 will be out so your statement is kind of not relevant. His line is on AT&T NextUp Anytime because he was hoping to wait for 17 to change his 13 Pro Max, but we were convinced to hop over from T-Mobile after probably a decade of loyalty, the only available series at the time 16. So yes June, to September, a few months later, and new iPhone IS out....

But those iPhones clearly have different model numbers from each other. TP-Link is not advertising the differences in versions. If you go to Amazon, do they state what version you're receiving? What if Apple were to release an iPhone 17 Pro with volume buttons on the side and an iPhone 17 Pro without volume buttons and you don't know which one you're receiving? That's what TP is doing. I'm not buying an XE70 and expecting it to be same as an XE75 Pro here, I'm demanding that an XE75 Pro be the same as an XE75 Pro.

@JohnnyBoy That's true. They do not clearly define the version # features.
Unfortunately it's up to us to verify what version we have and to go to the firmware download page to verify a specific feature we want/need...
I'm just here to share how I've tried to adapt, by purchasing a minimum number of units that I can get by with, waiting for the next version to arrive before I get more. That way I don't miss out on features only the newer ones get...

So the way I understand how the platform/firmware versions works are as follows. I have two XE75 Pro V2 deco's running on firmware 1.2.x. Using the chart found at the link below we can look for my firmware version to see what platform my deco's are running on.
https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/kb/detail/412754
If you look at the following screenshot .
You can see my deco's are on platform 1.7.0/1.8.0 and to the right are all the options my deco's have which also includes options from 1.5.0 and 1.6.0.
Now hardware version 1 of the XE75 pro's are running on firmware 1.4.x so if we look at the chart again this time looking for 1.4.x
We can now see that his hardware version 1 deco is on platform version 1.10.0 so it has more options than the version 2 of the same model. This is why we would want to run the V1 deco as the main if we want to take advantage of all the options it has to offer. Hope that helps

Have you opened a ticket with support about this issue? If you are running one of the V1's as your main they you shouldn't be missing any options at all unless you were running everything in AP mode then that would make sense as to why they are gone.
Weird question if you disconnect the X50 do all the options come back?

This topic needs more attention, and like many I don't plan on going silent about the lack of recent updates the Costco XE75 has seen.
Perhaps I'm wrong, but it's feeling a lot like they are abandoning the model, if that's so— the least they can do is be honest with its users. Lest it looks even worse long term, as deception to customers.
