Firmware Version:

Hi! I purchased a mopping robot that requires a 2.4 GHz network, not the 5G one that I have currently set up. I have no idea how to get into the settings for the router network. I have all three units set up throughout the home and connected to my Spectrum internet and they work fine. But I am clueless as to how to set up a secondary network so I can use this expensive robot. Can someone please talk me through the steps? I would be so grateful.

Your best bet is set up a guest 2.4 GHz network for the robot

Need help with the Deco app, setup, Ethernet backhaul, network switch or rolling back firmware? Router or AP mode? https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/699816?page=1

I'd suggest stopping by our FAQ: How to change the Wireless Settings on your Deco app

Your Deco should support the option of enabling both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz simultaneously, if it isn't already configured this way.

@fineartfan I have found some devices will not stay connected with 2.4 & 5 Ghz under the same SSID.

I have both bands active on the main SSID.  Then I setup just 2.4 Ghz on the IOT band.    Connect your robot cleaner there.

I then setup the guest network with just 5 Ghz for a TV that I wanted on the faster band but kept disconnecting from the combined main SSID.

Anyhow, I did this back in March.  Things have worked flawlessly since.
