Archer CR700 Address Reservation?
I just installed an Archer CR700 device on my network, replacing an older TP-LINK WDR3600 that served me well for many years. I have the CR700 up and running fine, both as a modem and router...but I am having a problem as the software appears different than with the WDR3600, and maybe has less options?
In particular, I cannot find any setting where I can do ADDRESS RESERVATION for a specific device. IN fact, based on what i have seen on teh internet tutorials I have watched, the current software I have does not include the option at all for modifying DHCP settings. I have a specif device, a TV TUNER, that needs to have its own IP address reserved so that it avoids conflicts.
In the ADVANCED tab, I choose NETWORK, but under that tab I do not have all of the options I see on the web tutorials. I have the following subcategories:
-WAN
-LAN SETTINGS
-IPV6 SETTINGS
-DYNAMIC DNS
-ADVANCED ROUTING
The webpages and video tutorials I have seen all tell me to go to ADVANCED -> NETWORK -> DHCP SETTINGS, which always appears above DYNAMIC DNS. I have no such subcategory.
So, do I need a firmware/software upgrade? Or is that option not avaiable on the CR700?
thanks in advance!
