Model: Deco BE11000
Hardware Version: V20
Firmware Version: 1.0.5 Build 20240521 Rel 64384

I just setup a new BE11000 3 node WiFi system.  The satellites joined automatically with no confirmation needed.  What is to prevent someone from starting a satellite BE11000 in my driveway and gaining access to my network via the Ethernet port on the device?  Why is the firmware more than a year old!  May 2024.  There is no option to update the firmware anywhere in the app.  Very concerned on how secure this WiFi system is.

Thanks,

Rick

I found the firmware update but the latest version is still 6 months old!

@RickMus They are preconfigured as a set to automatically power up connected as a mesh.  If you buy an additional unit they will be recognized but you as administrator have to allow it to be added to your network.

@RickMus I'm afraid I don't have an answer for your "old" firmware concern.  If you find an issue with the current firmware then report it.  They are typically pretty quick at turning around a beta for you to test...

I would echo jzchen's suggestion and welcome you to share any specific feature, stability, or performance anomalies you may be experiencing with your Deco BE11000 system. Any details you can share can help us provide feedback to our Deco team for future consideration.
