Model: TL-WR3602BE
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.1 Build 20250618 rel.50215(5553)

I use this device in AP mode on my network only to have access to the USB 3.0 port to attach a hard drive to.  I have regularly scheduled backups that go to that hard drive, so the router stays powered on.  The wireless signals are turned off.

When I travel I will change it to Hotspot mode with wireless turned on, and use it as a travel router.

My question is this.  Is the router designed to remain on continuously as I am doing?  Is there any reason to not do this?

Hi@fmmobley ,

Do you want to enable Hotspot mode and USB storage, but are you worried that the router will indirectly power off?

Theoretically, this situation should not occur. You can also directly switch to Hotspot mode for testing.
