Hello,

 

I recently purchase a 3-pack set of the TP-Link BE95. Details of my configuartion are:

1) I am using AT&T BGW300-500 router set to IP passthrough. Firewall features have all been disabled. I am using the 1Gbps plan. QoS is off.

2) My three TP-Link BE95's are connected together using wired backhaul.

3) MLO is disabled.

4) ipv6 is disabled.

5) QoS is off. Priority device is off.

 

Overall, the wireless mesh system is stable. However, I have two devices, a Mac Mini and a laptop computer that are connected to the 6GHz network. When they are connected to WIFI6, their internet connection will stutter and blank out. I am using the app to limit them to connect to a certain Deco and also to the 6GHz band. The bandwith is not stable, to the point where pages will refuse to load, conference calls will disconnect, etc. There is no indication of disconnect from the BE95. When I move the two aforementioned devices to the wireless 5GHz band using the app, they run stable with no issues. I already ran network optimization several times to find an optimized channel for 6GHz, but it did not improve. Other devices connected via 5/2.4GHz wireless to the same Deco are stable with no issues, as well as my two devices that I moved to 5GHz band. On my system, there appears to be instability using the 6GHz band. Does anybody else have this issue, or have ideas as to what may be going on?

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that your Mac Mini and laptop experience internet stutters, failed page loads, and disconnects during conference calls when connected to the 6GHz band of your Deco Mesh system, while other bands and devices work fine.

Here are some troubleshooting steps to help address instability, lag, or persistent connectivity issues on your Deco Mesh network:

1. Direct Connection Test:
Connect your PC or laptop directly to your modem to see if the issue persists. If you still experience problems, please contact your ISP for further assistance.

2. QoS Settings:
Open the Deco app and go to MORE > QoS. Make sure the QoS bandwidth matches your subscribed Internet speed.

3. Client Device Settings:
In the client list section of the Deco app, select your affected device and verify that 'Speed Limit' is disabled and 'Connection Preference' is set to 'auto' (default).

4. Parental Controls:
Check the 'Parental Control' section in the Deco app to ensure your devices are not accidentally restricted by any parental control profiles.

5. Satellite Unit Signal Strength:
If your devices are connected to satellite Deco units, ensure the signal strength is at least 2 bars. A signal strength of only 1 bar may cause latency or stability issues. For wired backhaul, double-check the Ethernet connections (connect main and satellite units directly, avoiding switches if possible), and confirm that "Ethernet Backhaul" is correctly displayed in the Deco app.

6. Ethernet Device Troubleshooting:
For devices connected via Ethernet, try connecting directly to the main Deco and test different Ethernet ports.

7. Wi-Fi Device Recommendations:
• Make sure your devices are connected to the nearest Deco unit with a strong signal.
• Prefer the 5GHz or 6GHz band for latency-sensitive activities, as 2.4GHz is not recommended.
• Ensure your devices are connected to the main network, not the guest or IoT network.

If you continue to experience issues specifically on the 6GHz band, please note that device compatibility and regional support for 6GHz can vary. You can check 6GHz availability in your area here: https://www.wi-fi.org/regulations-enabling-6-ghz-wi-fi. Also, confirm your devices fully support 6GHz operation.

If the problem persists after following these steps, please contact TP-Link support and provide the results of your troubleshooting for further assistance.

Hey hi there i got the same system and setup, and I was having the same issue till I configured the 6Ghz bands to use 160 MHZ instead of 320MHZ. The issue is related to new Apple devices like Iphone 17 Pro Max in my case and the lack of support for 320Mhz.

 

In Below images you can find my current working configuration. Im able to use the MLO network with no issues, till apple and TPLink cameout with a firmware and IOS solution that can handle 320Mhz correctly.
