Model: Archer AX55
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.3.5 Build 20241211 rel.34816(5553)

Getting good internet speeds (as advertised, 400mb/s down, 100mb/s up) over wifi. But when I try to file share mac to mac on the same wifi network, the speed is about 1-3MB/s.

I've done a lot of troubleshooting already.

Ping was timing out entirely, but after I disabled EasyMesh pings now work between the devices, though in the range of 50ms, so not great.

Tried a variety of channels. Auto of 153 seems to work best. On 80mhz and working fine.

Disabled SMB signing via terminal on both devices.

Any ideas?

Hello@perrykroll ,

Thanks for contacting our community.

Please try channel 149.  Are both Macs connected to the router via wireless? If so, please try connecting one Mac to the router via cable. Could you also test if it can enhance the speed?

Additionally, have you tested file share speeds between other clients?
