Hello everyone, My Archer AX20 router was working fine yesterday morning, but since yesterday afternoon it stopped functioning properly:

  • When powered on, only one orange LED stays solid

  • No WiFi SSID is broadcast

  • The issue persists whether or not the Ethernet cable is connected

  • I have already tried rebooting, unplugging/replugging cables, and holding the reset button to restore factory settings, but nothing changes

Has anyone experienced this issue before? Could this indicate a hardware failure, or is there another solution I should try? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

  @Kernel32Dll I also tried rebooting my modem and unplugging and replugging the modem’s Ethernet cable into the router, but the issue remains the same. The router still powers on with only one solid orange LED and no WiFi SSID.Image

  @Kernel32Dll

Try connecting a PC direct to the modem via Ethernet to ensure you have internet through the modem.

If you do, power off and unplug the modem and router for 10 min, plug in the modem and wait a bit, then plug in the router and see if the router gets the IP from the modem.

Try a different cable between the modem and router.

 Hi @Kernel32Dll

Welcome to the community. When attempting to reset the router, how long are you holding the reset button for? I would suggest holding it for 10 - 30 seconds to see if the LED status of the device changes.

If the device remains unresponsive, I would highly recommend trying Method 2 in our Router Recovery FAQ HERE.

If you would like assistance with any of the steps in the above FAQ, I would recommend opening a support ticket using our Support Portal (Phone, Live Chat, and Email options are available for your convenience).
