Model: Deco X50 - Outdoor
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.1

I installed an X60 v3.2 mesh system in a 3200sf house last year. It had WiFi access control which I wanted. I did not have good outdoor coverage because I have 8" concrete walls so I added 2 X50-Outdoor (V1) units. After installation it upgraded to v1.2.8. My WiFi access control disappeared so I did some searching and found a couple of threads saying it needed to be v1.3 or later. So today I was going to look for a newer firmware but noticed that it had updated to v1.3.1. I expected to see the WiFi access control back, but it wasn't there. I rebooted the whole system and still not there. Is it supposed to be there???? or depending on a newer firmware that will never come for version 1???  Any insight would be appreciated.... beginning to be sorry about my choice.

  @obxguy Anybody from TP-Link read these posts to provide answers???  Should be an easy answer... either 1.3.1 supports Wifi Access or not...

  @obxguy

Hi, thank you very much for your time and patience.

Deco X50-outdoor_V1_1.3.1 Build 20251030 Rel. 41614 doesn't support WiFi Access Control/Allow List.

Best regards.

  @obxguy I have requested the same thing multiple times before firmware v1.3.1. I thought when it came out that it would it would support wifi access control. It is incredibly frustrating that people like us have requested this feature on a product that is still currently sold. It seems as if tp-link has either decided to just forget about us as they move on to newer products or have put this product so far on the back burner that the update with this support might just never happen. I have now been waiting almost a year since my request to tp-link for wifi access control. Being that mac address filtering is pretty common for every other manufacture out there, it will not make my decision to move away from tp-link all that difficult when the time comes.
