You can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot if you can't format your microSD card.
What should I do if the SD card cannot be formatted/recognized?
If the same phenomenon persists, please confirm the following information.
1. What's the model number and capacity of your microSD card?
2. After you test the microSD card with third-party software such as H2testW, please send us a screenshot of the test result.

@skifreak There are other ways to format the card. Take it out and format it once on a PC to FAT32, then insert it back into the camera and let the camera format it again.
Also, it's better to test the card on a computer using a tool like H2testW.
