Working network for several years, no longer works
Friday
Model: Deco XE5300
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.5 build 20241129 rel.44718

(note;  not sure about hardware version;  I don't see a way to get that information;  it could be 1.6?  I've tied in an X55 in my garage as well)  Network has been stable for several years.

Yesterday, I was upgrading my network with a non-TPlink switch.   (I have two switches in my system tied together).  And unfortunately it made my Deco system unstable (alternating red, red-flashing, green repeating).   I rebooted each of the nodes and it didn't help.  So I put the original TP-Link switch back in and it didn't really help.

The instability actually goes beyond the wifi network making the entire network unstable.  I reset the "main" node and it put it into setup node and that helped settle the network down a bit.

Right now, I have no WiFi, the main node shows up as DECO_DCE7 in my wifi list, which I assume means that it's ready for setup.  The app right now isn't terribly helpful because it sees the main node in a setup state, and it marks the other 3 as "offline".

It's not a big deal to set it up again, but I don't see a way in the app to wipe it clean and start again from scratch aside from deleting the app.   Or perhaps there's a better way to get the system stable?

Any help would be appreciated.

I shut down all the Deco nodes which clears out the app and moved the main node to the wiring closet to test solo. It worked just fine, so I moved that node up to the main floor, and then started up the basement node, which seemed to work fine as well. I purchased an ethernet cable tracer so I can finally document where all the wires are coming from. I'm hoping that will let me understand where the continued instability is and fix it.

@T_R_K Sorry to read of your issues trying to upgrade the backhaul/Ethernet switches...

The Version # should be on the Serial # labels on the bottom of the units, a capital V and numbers.  I "traced" your firmware details to V1.60, (and possibly V1.0).  Typically all whole number versions share the same firmware so 1.60 and 1.0 do....

I hope you find the issue(s) with the wiring/switches quickly...
