Model: Deco BE95
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.0, 1.2.1

I have multiple BE-95 and BE-85 Decos and they are all wired to the switch via Ethernet or fiber. They occasionally lose the Ethernet connection. I tried replacing the SFP+ and I rebooted the switches. Some are just Ethernet and they lose the connection as well. They all default to WIFI. I have an extensive network ( 22 Decos of multiple models) and I just don't know why they do this. I can get them to reconnect to Ethernet but they go back to WiFi in a few hours. It's just the 95 and 85 decos that do it. I can't tell if it's the Deco or the switch. They are all new. I guess I'll look at the logs? I searched the forum and didn't really see any related threads but I'm half awake writing this.

I see threads related to this problem but my devices default to WiFi and still have internet connectivity.

Hi, welcome to the community.

Did you set Deco into "Access Point" mode?

Among the 22 Decos, how many Deco BE95/Deco BE85 units do you have?

It is recommended to send an email to forumsupport.usa@tp-link.com with the following details:

Subject: [Forum Escalation][ID 855678] BE95, BE85 lose Ethernet connection.

  • A copy of the network topology on the Deco App, such as:
  • A simple sketch of the network topology

(It would be highly appreciated to add the model numbers of the network switches, and mark which Decos are connected via SFP+ modules for Ethernet Backhaul.)

Please also update here with the support ticket no. after submitting the feedback.

Thank you in advance.
