Good Morning,

I currently have a TP-Link BE1000 (2 units BE63) WiFi 7 and wanted to know it the Deco BE25 Dual-Band BE5000 WiFi 7 features will work with my network. I currently have 2 set up in the house, but the space above my garage is having issues.  My wife homeschools our kids from there and the printer is up there as well.  I'm constinlty having issues with the stupid thing connecting.  The only devices up there are a Printer, Fire Stick, and an amazon alexa device.

My main concern is not really about speed but conuctivity and I really want to keep my "Allow List Mode," along with all my security features (parental control).  I currently have a 2gb connection through my ISP.

I would like to intergrate the BE25 without having to pay another $200 for a 3rd BE1000.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreaciated.

Thanks

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that you currently have two Deco BE1000 (BE63) WiFi 7 units set up in your home and are considering adding a Deco BE25 Dual-Band BE5000 WiFi 7 to improve connectivity in the space above your garage, where your printer, Fire Stick, and Alexa device often have trouble staying connected. You also want to make sure that features like Allow List Mode and parental controls will continue to work seamlessly across all units.

Compatibility: All Deco models, including different hardware versions and WiFi generations, are compatible and can work together to create a unified mesh network. You can integrate the Deco BE25 with your existing BE1000 units without any issues. We recommend using your most powerful Deco (in this case, the BE1000) as the main unit connected to your modem/router.

Features: Security features such as Allow List Mode and parental controls will remain available and function across your entire Deco mesh network, regardless of the model mix.

Troubleshooting: If you experience any issues after adding the BE25, please contact TP-Link support and provide:
1) The models, hardware versions, and firmware versions of all your Deco units.
2) A screenshot of the network map from the Deco app.
3) A detailed description of the issue encountered.

This way, we can help diagnose any connectivity or feature-related problems you might encounter.

Let us know if you need further assistance!
