Model: Archer BE9700
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.7 Build 20251027 rel.50074(5553)

I wired up the house for ethernet access and my upload speeds are capping around 163 mbps. I have an AT&T Fiber 1000 account so I should be doing better speed-wise. On my Samsung with WiFi7 I'm able to get 900 down/700 up so I'm guessing it's not a modem problem but a setting in the router. QoS is not enabled so I'm not sure what else might affect speeds. Any suggestions?

Hello@Wagz ,

Welcome to our community.

Do you mean that when the Samsung is connected to the modem's Wi-Fi, it will get a speed of 900 down/700 up?

This is the wireless speed; we still need to check the modem's wired speed.

If you have a wired PC, please replace the BE9700 with the PC and test the wired speed of the same LAN port of the modem.

On the router, please enable QoS and set the upload speed to 1000 Mbps for a try.

@Joseph-TP Thanks for reaching out, I found out after some crack AI questions that TP-Link thought my AT&T gateway was another router and it was messing up the speeds. For future peoples with the same problem, here are the steps I took:

1. Access the Gateway Interface

  1. Connect a device (laptop or phone) to your AT&T network.

  2. Open a web browser and type 192.168.1.254 into the address bar.

  3. If prompted for a Device Access Code, you can find it on a sticker on the side or back of your AT&T Gateway (it's a 10-digit code).

2. Check the Status

  • Go to the Firewall tab.

  • Click on the IP Passthrough sub-tab.

  • Look for "Allocation Mode":

    • If it says Off, IP Passthrough is disabled.

    • If it says Passthrough, then it is enabled.
