BE550 Router Login Failure
Every night the router loses connection to Teather on iPhone and I can no longer access it. I have to reboot the router before it will allow me to log in again. Otherwise, each attempt says login failed please pull down and try again. Anyone?

Hello @Richard3234,
Thanks for contacting our community.
I noticed your previous feedback about some unexpected behaviors in your router after enabling the MLO Network. You've already contacted Local Support; could I know how things are going?
Please let me know if your network topology diagram is as follows:
ISP modem—Archer BE550 )))((( client devices
(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )
It appears you will consistently be unable to access the Archer BE550 normally via the Tether App at night. Was the network functioning normally during this period?
If yes, have you tried to access it via the Web interface?
Since it occurs every night, it may be related to network settings, iOS background refresh behavior, or the router's scheduled tasks. Following these steps should help resolve the recurring login failures:
1. Ensure your iPhone is connected to the router's main Wi-Fi network, not the guest network or other networks.
2. Turn off any VPN applications and disable mobile/cellular data on your iPhone.
3. Enable "Local Network Access" for the Tether App on your iOS device (go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network > Find Tether > enable Local Network Access).
4. Reboot the TP-Link router.
5. Force close the Tether App and reopen it.

Thanks for checking in Joseph. The BE550 has been replaced with a new one and the prior one is in transit back to corporate. I have enabled 3 separate SSIDs 2.4, 5,6. I have not set up the MLO network for fear I'll again cause unwanted behavior. Bear in mind, I had an Archer C9 for 2 decades and never had this kind of nonsense. Never lost a connection. It still works fine and I have a feeling that I'm going to wind up putting in back in operation and demand my money back for this inferior BE550 product, not sure that's an option but we'll see.
At this point, I'm disappointed in the Teather behavior with the replaced BE550 as it looses communication, or many of the functions of the Teather are met with errors. I am then unable to access it via the web page either. For instance, the client list is suddenly blank and I can't get it to refresh and populate the data again. I tried rebooting the router but lost all of my setting when it came up again, it was ready for me to create a password and set it up. Now I'm afraid to even reboot it because I don't relish setting it up entirely over and over AGAIN.
Bottom line is the BE550 is pretty much junk on every level. Is it faster, more secure, more stable, easier to operate and set up than the 20 year-old Archer C9? NO NO NO NO
Sincerely, Richard
