Deco X50 US/1.6 - Can we get EasyMesh support?
Is there any way we can get EasyMesh into the TP Link Deco X50? My version seems to be US/1.6 with firmware 2.0.11.
What a waste that I have to throw this device to the garbage because it does not support a feature that TP link supports.

Thank you for the reply, though I am not sure about what the answer means. I am suggesting that you add EasyMesh for Deco X50 US/1.60 or 1.5. It seems firmware with EasyMesh exists for V/1 and V/2 but not for US/1.6?

Sorry for the confusion I was alerting @Ryan a member of the support staff about your question. Sometimes a feature is supported by the deco hardware and just requires a firmware upgrade for it to work.
Other times the feature isn't support by the hardware at all.
I was asking him which one it is.

Generally speaking, Deco Mesh and EasyMesh are different technologies. Deco Mesh is our proprietary Mesh Technology designed with a specific Mesh Networking vision. EasyMesh is a non-proprietary, standards-based technology developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance. Their unique designs enable each technology to focus on delivering the specific performance and features for your preferred setup; however, this also means they aren’t interoperable.
To ensure a smoother networking experience, easier management, and to avoid potential inconsistencies in feature compatibility, we suggest sticking to a single mesh technology across your network.
- If your goal is an EasyMesh network, Wi-Fi Routers and Range Extenders that support EasyMesh are your best bet.
- For Deco Mesh, you'll want to stick with Deco (proprietary) to ensure seamless connectivity and coherent feature support across the network.
- Slightly unrelated but additional context―our Business product line exclusively utilizes our proprietary Omada Mesh technology.
