Hey Community,

We have received reports from users that the Traffic Usage Data in the Tether App shows abnormally high figures, even though that much data hasn't actually been used. Some users have resolved this anomaly by performing a hard reset.

Our teams have identified the cause of this abnormal behavior. Please review whether your router is among the affected models below, and refer to the available solution.

Applies to:

Archer BE230_V2

Archer BE400_V1

Archer BE550 Pro_V2
Archer BE9700_V1

Available Solution:

Our development team has provided the following beta firmware to address this unexpected behavior for the models that have already been reported. Please download and manually install the beta firmware for your router if you're experiencing this anomaly.

Before Upgrading

(1) It is always recommended to save a copy of the router's Backup Config file before upgrading or downgrading firmware.

(2) For instructions on how to upgrade your router's firmware, please see: How to Upgrade the Firmware on TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers?
