MacBook Crashes TP-Link Network via WiFi When Router's USB Storage Sharing Is Turned On
Our MacBook Pro crashes the network whenever it connects via WiFi and the router's USB sharing option is turned on. The issue does not persist when the MacBook connects via ethernet, and other devices (Android phones, Linux laptops) cause no issues when USB sharing is on. The problem started about a month ago but would not trigger immediately, but it eventually got to the point where the network went down almost as soon as the MacBook joined. I tried everything else -- turning off EasyMesh, splitting bands, updating system software -- and it did not occur to me it was the USB sharing on the router. I eventually reset the router a couple weeks ago, and everything was fine until I turned USB sharing back on. Then all of a sudden the network crashed as soon as the MacBook joined. Turning off USB sharing has stopped the issue from happening.
I searched the forums and did not see anything else like this. Are we the only ones experiencing this issue? Are there any workarounds you can think of, or are we just stuck not using the USB sharing feature?
