Archer BE3600 router with Deco BE63 Access Points
I have purchased an Archer BE3600, TL-SG108 8-port switch, and Deco BE63 2-pack. I have Spectrum fiber internet service with a SONUV1N fiber modem provided by Spectrum. The modem is in a garage cabinet along with connections for all six of my Cat6 ports throughout my home. My original plan was to connect the BE3600 directly to the Spectrum modem to serve as my router. I was then going to connect the TL-SG108 to one of the LAN ports on the router and then connect all six of my Cat6 ports in my house to the switch so they are all active. I was then going to place my two Deco BE63 nodes in the house where I wanted them and set them up in access point mode. This seems like it should work but I have so far been unsuccessful in getting my Deco nodes to setup properly. It seems like everything is working as expected except for the two Deco nodes. I have tried removing the switch and wiring directly to the BE3600 router to see if the switch was the issue. I have not plugged the Deco nodes directly into the modem yet but I have thought about trying that to set them up first.
Can anyone tell me if they have any idea what I might be doing wrong? Is there a specific way the BE3600 has to be configured to support the Deco access points? Maybe I'm not setting things up in the proper order?
You help and advice is greatly appreciated.
