Version is 1.8

I purchased the tp-link in part because of the alexa skill that allows me to pause the internet on certain devices. 

I have no discovered that there two alexa skill levels and the m5 is the only one that allows the native skill that will allow pausing of devices. 

1.  Is this correct?  Is so when can the native skill be expected in the M9 plus?

2.  Is there any work around that anyone has figured out?
