Model: TL-WR940N
Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version: 3.18.1 Build 171115 Rel.44481n

Hi,

I am using the router as an access point. So I connected my router's LAN port to the Internet port of the TL-WR940N.

When I connect directly to the wired LAN (the modem's LAN ports), the download speeds go as high as the ISP allows: 250Mbps.

When I connect my PC to the TL-WR940N, with a cable I can only get as high as 90Mbps, and wifi I get as high as 30Mbps.

I was expecting to get a slower wifi connection but why do I get such low speeds when I use a cable into my TL-WR940N?

Hope someone can provide some ideas..

thanks

@chinoyim

The LAN port of the TL-WR940N supports only up to 100 Mbps. If you are you looking to get around 200 Mbps, use a router that has LAN ports rated for 1000 Mbps or gigabit ports.
