Hi all,

I'm having a strange issue where my TP-Link RE450 is connected to the internet - the extender iis in a perfect position as shown by the distance checker on the Tether app etc. I have a dedicated IP set up on my home router so know that's not the issue, and have turned DHCP off in the router settings. I previously had the same issue with the RE305 but thought upgrading to the RE450 would help eradicate this issue.

The issue is: my iPhone will connect to the extender and say 'no internet connection', however, my MacBook will connect to the extender and have full speed. Does anyone know what's going on here with the extender-iPhone connection?

Many thanks!!!

@gepar7116

I would try turning off the phones ability to randomize the MAC address. The reason being the RE450 will assign a spoofed MAC address to the router, so I wonder if the iPhone giving a different MAC to the RE450 may cause some issues.

@Tony Thanks for the response! I actually already had this turned off but the issue persists unfortunately.
