Deco vs. OneMesh Setup
I'm looking to upgrade our internet/WiFi in our home. We have AT&T 1GB fiber. Our Wifi is spotty at best, especially since their "mesh" AirTies do not work consistently. The main router has to be placed under the stairs at one end of our house (~1650 sq/ft). One of the mesh access points can be placed at the other end if the house and would be connected via ethernet backhaul. We do have a second "mesh" access point in our detached garage (connected wirelessly, not part of the 1650 sq/ft) but this is probably not needed with a better Wifi router as it is only 60 ft from the router under the closet.
There are two of us in the house with two computers, two streaming devices, two cell phones and the typical assortment of smart devices (Alexa, TP-Link smart switches, Ring, Blink).
Would you recommend a deco mesh setup (e.g. Deco X20, M9 Plus) or a OneMesh router (e.g. Archer AX21) and an access point (e.g. RE550, RE505X) given my situation?
Any particular products?
Thanks for the time and help!
