Model: Deco X20
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I am using a AX6000 as my Router with FIOS Gigabit connection. I have some dead spots in my home so I purchased 3 Deco X20's. After adding them to my network it seems I have tio use either the Deco's or the AX6000 for my wireless connections.

However, my upload and download speeds with the Deco's is only between 60 and 95 mbs at 2.4 gHz or 5 gHz. With my AAX6000 I get between 200 and 350 mbs, which also seems slow with a Gigabit connection.

Can I use the Deco's as an extender to my AX6000 and if so, how do I configure them?  And why are my upload and download speeds so low?

Any help appreciated!

(All routers have been updated to the latest Firmware)

@oderuntz

Hi,

The main Deco X20 needs to be wired to the AX6000 so it could not work as an extender.

But the satellite could be wirelessly linked to the main Deco as an extension.

For the speed issue on the Deco X20, did it work on the wireless router mode or access point mode now?

was the Ethernet upload and download speeds also between 60 and 95 mbs on the main Deco

Would there be any QoS settings under your Deco?

Please disconnect the satellite Deco X20 and leave the main X20 only; then turn off the 2.4ghz and check how much speed you could get from the 5ghz;

Thank you very much.
