Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.1 Build 20210126 Rel 59387

When connected via RJ 45 Cat6 1.5 metre cable to the spare port on the master Deco, my data speed as tested using Ookla is less than 1/3 of the speed indicated over WiFi. The Deco internal speed test indicates 300mbs, Ookla WiFi is 298mbs, Ookla hardwired indicates only 98mbs. My laptop is fitted with a 1500mbs network adapter, which runs at full speed on my office network.

Any thoughts on this anomaly?

@TP-Link

Thanks for the response. Issue has been resolved. Cause was the CAT 6 cable. Once replaced link speed is 1000/1000.

@CommanderYYZ

Hi, could you please refer to this link to check the link speed on the laptop:

How to check the associated/link speed on a wired client

If it is over 1Gb, please help me get detailed information about the laptop:

(For Windows PC only)

  1. Press WIN+R on the keyboard, type in “cmd” and enter, you will see a small black window.
  2. In the small black window, type in “ipconfig /all” and press enter, the information of your network adapters will be printed.
  3. Please copy the whole content of this window while contacting us, this information would be more helpful when troubleshooting this issue.
