Model: Archer C9
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 3.17.1 Build 20180125 Rel.56387n

I haven't really explored this for a while but recently wanted to. This router is supposed to be capable of 1.3gbps wifi in 5ghz right? I've been on 1gbps for a couple of years but they recently upgraded us to a gig up and down, which is why I started looking into this. I've fiddled with some settings and the best my C9 will give me on 5ghz is 400mbps down and up. 2.4ghz will give me about 80 both ways. I believe I have the most up to date firmware available. Any help is greatly appreciated :)

@z28Derick

Do you mean you can get a normal download and upload speed when you connect the computer to the Archer C9 with an Ethernet cable? Please check this first.

Follow the guide below to check and confirm if the QoS settings on the C9 is configured correctly, you can try to disable it if necessary:

Just to confirm, what kind of wireless devices you are testing the 5G connection with the C9, can we have the brand and model of it? If it is a computer, we would like to know the model of it, please ensure it is running with the latest driver, thanks.

You can also check and modify the 5G wireless settings on the C9, you can check that by installing an app like Wi-Fi Analyzer on your phone or laptop and test, then set a channel with less congestion according to the test results on the C9, and change the channel width for the 5GHz to 80MHz, reboot the C9 and reconnect to the network then conform.
