Model: Archer AX73
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hello all,

   Picked up an AX73 earlier this month and all has been going well, but I (reluctantly) updated the firmware to the latest (Archer AX73(US)_V1_211119) and now several of my 2.4ghz clients go offline daily. I've rebooted, etc. to no avail.

Anyone else having this issue after update?

@fhantazm

Can you detail any specifics about the 2.4GHz having difficulites connecting?  Type of device, model, current OS/Software version?

@Dr_Mono

any specific types or models of devices?  Is its everything not connecting?  Have you tried to enable the guest network on the 2.4GHz band to rule out a SSID/password conflict?

@Dr_Mono

Have you attempted to reset the password?  Also try to forget the network on the MAC and then try to reconnect as a fresh connection.  Lastly try the guest network with a different SSID and password and see if that work.  There are no such connection bugs that have been reported though so I don't believe it would be that.

@Carl

I have the same issue.

Trying multiple ways to solve including to use a unique SSID and password for 5 GHz wireless network,reset the 2.4 GHz channel from auto to 1,6,11 (as suggested by some of the users),relocate the router,cut off some of my smart devices (Clients) and etc.....BUT to no avail.

Seeking help from TP-Link technical advisor,hopefully it can be solved,really annoying.

Hello @Dr_Ho and @Carl, sorry for jumping in, I'm also curious about the issue reported here, so I want to know something more.

1. What are the devices connected to the 2.4GHz network? What is the wireless security on the router? Please try WPA2-PSK AES.

2. What is the Mode for 2.4GHz wireless? If possible, please try 802.11 a/n/ac mixed instead of 802.11a/n/ac/ax mixed, then monitor.

3. How do you recover the connection if all the devices failed to connect to the 2.4GHz network, by restarting the router?

4. Is the 5GHz network always good?
