Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I followed the app and connected the three Deco M4R units wirelessly.

I'd like to make a wired connection to my HP laptop and use the other two units wirelessly at other locations in the house. I have a Motorola MB8600 modem with an exposed ethernet port, and a couple of ports that are covered. The quick set-up guide refers to the covered ports as having something to do with port bonding (which I don't have a clue about). How would I set this up? Would I connect the ethernet cable from the modem to the M4R unit I'm using as a router, then connect another ethernet cable from the M4 unit to the computer?

Thanks for any help.
