Model: Archer AX11000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.0

After updating to the 1.3.0 firmware, the built in speed test shows the error Failed to test the speed. Try again later. I have Factory Restored the router several times with the same result.

*After some testing, I have concluded this firmware has caused my router to become unstable. Eventually, my devices can no longer connect to the internet. I do however get a solid ping through the command prompt. After a router reset it works for a bit and then become unusable.

**I did another factory reset and it appears to be stable at the moment. The speed test still errors out so I have to manually set the QOS settings.

Hi everyone, It looks as thought the problem has been fixed now. You should be able to now test your internet speeds in the app. You can view any further information regarding what happened here:

  @Prof

There was another post about speed tests being unstable so there may be an issue on their side. However, can you confirm your build number for the firmware? I would like to make sure that you are running the latest build for the device.

Is this something that you have experienced for multiple days or is this just today?

  @Riley_S Thank you for looking into this issue!  Here is my Firmware Version: 1.3.0 Build 20220221 rel.50072(5553) I updated to the new firmware a few days ago. The problem was immeditately after the update and has persisted since, even after a factory reset using the button on the router and through the router firmware.

  @mstrass

Can you confirm the build number that you are using on the device, and provide a few more details of your situation?

I would like to gather as much info as possible regarding the issue if multiple users are experiencing it.

  @Riley_S Forgive my confusion, but isn't that in my last reply? Was there a number I missed?

  I am having this same issue after upgrading  to Firmware Version: 1.3.0 Build 20220221 rel.50072(5553) on 05/03/2022. Router worked great prior to the upgrade. Now speed test fails. Is it possible to move back to previous firmware release?

  @rwd51 Hey RWD, According to the update notes, No, you will not be able to downgrade.

  @Prof  I am getting this same Failed to test the speed message and have been getting it for the last couple of days.  And our service is definitely slower!

  @Prof I should add to my prior post that the internet speed is dramatically slower especially on upload.  We were getting 460 downloand and 450 upload wired and in the 300's for each wireless.  Now my wireless is 90.1 and 9.51!!!!!!

  @MavisM Hey Mavis, Something quick to try to see if this works while we wait on TP Link to look at the firmware. Go into your QOS settings under HomeCare in the Advanced Tab and set a manual upload and download speed. Make sure when you enter the upload and downloads speeds that you change the speed from Kbps to Mbps. Normally you would not need to do this because the speed test would fill in the information.
