Model: TL-WPA4220
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version:

Hi everyone,

i bought a used a extender Kit with 2x TL-WPA4220 wifi and one TL-PA4010.

Problem is, that one of the TL-WPA4220 is not working as intended. In the PLC Tool it is shown like a TL-PA4010 (no wifi). I wanted to flash it with the newest TL-WPA4220 firmware, but it asks for a .pib and .nvm file and for that model there is just a .bin.

Is there a way to flash the bin directly ?

  @DennisG,

If i am correct, the PLC tool is a much older piece of software for managing some older Powerline Networks. To update your device using a .bin file you will have to log into the web interface for the Adapter. This will give you an interface similar to our routers, where you can upload the .bin file to update the device. Instructions on how to do so can be found here: How to update the firmware of Powerline Extender via web-based management interface
