Model: Deco XE5300
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.6 Build 20230613 Rel. 52821

My Deco XE5300 units are in AP mode, so DCHP is handled by another network router. The main Deco is plugged in directly to this router. The DCHP server has static ip assignments based on MAC address for three Deco XE5300 nodes.

However, the node will not accept the static IP assignment and will only pick up random ip from DCHP server.

  @Holocron

Hi, Thanks for the feedback.

Did you manually add the MAC address of Deco printed on the product label to the main DHCP router?

If yes, there is a slight difference in the WAN MAC address of Deco and it is suggested to delete the static IP/address reservation on the network router first and check the MAC address of Deco when it gets the IP address automatically. Usually, the WAN MAC address is LAN MAC+1 in hexadecimal numbering.

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @David-TP

I looked up the MAC addresses for each node, as shown in the mobile app, and compared them to what was showing as active connections. They matched.

I did not add anything from a product label either on the box or the device itself.

Usually, devices cannot reject or pick up addresses, addresses are assigned by the DHCP server. Devices can suggest addresses, but the DHCP server decides. Did the lease of the 10.10.0.232 address expire?
