AX10000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6 Gaming Router - Parental Controls No Longer Work After Firmware Update
Hi Everyone,
A few days ago, I was prompted to update the firmware on my AX10000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6 Gaming Router to 1.3.3 Build 20230719 rel.78410(5553). Prior the the firmware update, I set up HomeCare Parent Controls that were applied to several TCL Roku smart TVs to prevent several streaming apps from working when I didn't want them to. They worked as intended and these TVs were unable to access any of these URLs or Keywords (Example: you click on the YouTube App, it attempts to load but after a bit it errors out because it is unable to connect/serve up content.
After the firmware update was successfully applied, these parental controls for URLs are not longer working. Is there anyone who can provide some insight on why this occurred? Did this update impact the functionality of HomeCare Parental Controls?
For reference, here are the URLs/Keywords that I have blocked:
When I click on the insights button, you can see that it is recognizing that these URLs/Keywords are being hit/recognized by the router as coming from these smart TVs (they are also lightly greyed out as if they are being blocked but I'm sitting in front of one of these TVs playing a Youtube video with no issue whatsoever):
And I'm sitting in front of the TV I called "Downstairs" that is on this policy (I verified several times that the MAC address for this device matches this TV exactly and it's getting the traffic as seen in the screenshots above):
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as I've been really liking this router up to this point and the parental controls were a big part of that.
