Model: Archer AX10000
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: latest as of 10/03/2023

We use this AX 10000  in our small business and our Internal Wireless network provided by this AX10000 works flawlessly with uninterrupted internet..

Guest network, not so much.  I set up the Guest network feature for our clients to use when visiting, but most are having internet connection issues.  All devices (mostly iPhones) can find the network, log in and get internet for a while.  Then after a short time, (10 minutes to an hour), most of the guest devices lose internet (they show "connected to Guest network without internet").   Our employees use this Guest network for their phones as well.  A minority of devices can connect to Guest network and stay connected, but most lose interent connection after a short time.  If you force a "forget" guest network on a device having problems and then log in again, the device will connect to Guest network with internet, then most lose the connection after a while.

Interestingly the problem seems to be only with newer iPhones.  The few Galaxy Android phones and a few older iPhones seem to never lose connection to Guest network.  I read that iPhone 14 had issues with auto refreshing MAC addresses, which could cause disconnection problems, but I have no idea if this is what is causing the problem.

Security type selected on Guest network is WPA2/WPA3 - Personal

I contacted TP-Link support and the "solution" was to disable Guest network and re-enable. Our firmware was updated today.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated bc our clients are complaining about not having internet access.

thanks !

Hey  @KeithWill,

I would recommend looking at first changing the security to WPA/WPA2. This is the most widely compatible standard and there can be problems with some devices when attempting to connect to a network using WPA3.

I would also recommend going into your phone's network settings while connected to the network and disabling "Private Addressing" or "Randomized MAC" as both of these could potentially disrupt, or at least alter, the connection your phone has with the router.

Is the AX10000 the only device providing a connection or do you have Access Points or Range Extender throughout your home?
