Model: Archer AX10000
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.1.6 Build 20230907 rel.65510(5553)

Hello,

I am not the greatest when it comes to this so please be patient with me.

I have set up the AX10000 behind my mandatory ATT modem. The ATT modem is required.  I have the AX in router mode, set a port forward through the router and modem for the Xbox external and internal port set to 3074 protocol all, enabled pass-through on the modem for the router, UPnP enabled, and set a DMZ for my gaming device. I just cant seem to get it out of NAT strict and to NAT OPEN. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Also, I changed it to AP mode and yes this does open my NAT type however it removes so many features. Is there any way around having to do that? or am I stuck because of the ATT modem?

  @JBKB

your att modem sounds more like a gateway. Most gateways allow you to set it in modem only mode or some type off pass thru or bridge mode which allows you to use the tp link router in router mode.

  @JBKB okay, you have 2 options. Ip pass-through if you would like to maintain the same ip on the Tplink router. Other option is to enable DMZ in the BGW-320. Choose whichever suits your needs. Next unless you really want to get into the weeds, your router(tplink) dhcp server needs to NOT be on a 192.168.1.x. ip range. Take close notes on my last statement. You can set your router to anything else but not 192.168.1.x, few examples(10.0.0.x, 192.168.2.x, 192.168.50.x). Last step, disable all settings under firewall advanced and packet filter on the bgw-320, apply, save, REBOOT. Finally, after you have applied settings and the rebooting of the bgw-320 complete and back online, reboot the tplink router and test your results. If you completed all steps properly and are still having strict on the console, apply port forwarding for the required ports for the console on the tplink router. FYI, these methods are not the only way to achieve your goal, just my suggestions. Hope this helps.
