W2400 set static routes
W2400 set static routes
I have 2 meshes set up in my home network.
one mesh is a pair of S4s
the other is a pair of W2400s and a S4.
They are separate to segment the traffic between them ( one has a lot of video cameras)
This works fine, separatly.
The NVR is on both networks. Hardwired to the video (2xS4) network, and wifi to the W2400 main network.
However devices only on the video network, including the S4s themselves, don't get responses from the main deco on the main network.
This is because the main deco, the default route for the main network does not know to send responses to the video network.
I would like to set a static route to the video network on the main deco so that it, and its peeers, can route correctly to the video network.
Instructions on this site, and the main site, seem to indicate that this is possible in the app, but the deco app does not have the option under the advanced option. and the Tether app does not support my devices.
Is there a way to set this in the w2400?
Could i do this with the S4?
Is there a routing protocol that will add the route to either W2400, or S4?
Thanks

@armadefuego Where does the 192.168.Y.x addresses come from? Is it assigned via DHCP?
What is the WAN IP of the S4 Deco (visible in the Deco app, under "Internet property") ?
What are the values of X and Y?
I believe the W2400 router needs to understand that the 192.168.Y.x addresses are part of its LAN, and you need to merge 192.168.Y and 192.168.X into a single subnet.
