  @5Guru

So we are months later now.

So.... does the TP-Link support 5 GHz 160 MHz + 6 GHz 320 MHz or not?

If so, does it work on a Samsung S24 ultra?

Other brands are starting to enable it via software it seems.
If no answer is given, i shall post the results of other vendors.
Also you may use Google for this.

I hope we get some clarity!

  @MDA400

Yes, always.

In this case: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/archer-be800/v1/#Firmware indeed.

MLO 5GHz + 6 GHz is not working.

New firmware: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/archer-be800/v1/#Firmware

Archer BE800(US)_V1_1.2.1 Build 20250108

Download
Published Date: 2025-02-12 Language: Multi-language File Size: 55.21 MB

This firmware introduces wireless driver update to enhance the system stability and compatibility, also a lot of new functions supported like DoH/DoT and EasyMesh in AP mode, so it's strongly recommended to upgrade to this version.
Please notice that you cannot downgrade back to the 1.1.x firmware after upgrade to this newer 1.2.1 firmware.

Note:
1. Upgrade Wireless Drive to enhance system stability and compatibility.
2. Newly support 3-band (2.4GHz + 5GHz + 6GHz) MLO connection.
3. Newly support EasyMesh Topology Map.
4. Newly support EasyMesh in AP mode.
5. Newly support WebUI in EasyMesh Satellite/Agent mode, providing functions like LED control, reboot, firmware upgrade, and more.
6. Newly support DoH/DoT.
7. Newly support ECO mode.
8. Newly support set Wi-Fi Schedule separately for different Wi-Fi channels.
9. Newly support Guest network isolation from the main network in AP mode.
10. Newly support multi selection in the Access Control allow list function.
11. Newly support TAP mode in OpenVPN server function.
12. Newly support setting the client IP range of the PPTP/L2TP/IPsec VPN server to match the main network's DHCP range.
13. Optimized the traffic recognition with newly support DPI function.
14. Enhanced system stability and security.

The Samsung S24 Ultra shows 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz + 6 GHz in the details setting:

( Wi-Fi details [3 dots menu] > Intelligent Wi-Fi > Connectivity labs > Customize Wi-Fi list settings > Show band information [on]. )

22a352f7f65a4776a7a32529fd4b9cf0

When you select the MLO SSID, 2.4 and 6.0 GHz are associated. 5.0 GHz is unassociated.
This post is for information, soon One UI 7.0 (android 15) should hopefully be released within a few weeks.
Then we test again.

But the "Newly support 3-band (2.4GHz + 5GHz + 6GHz) MLO connection."

Shows i was right all along. Next time TP-Link and/or Samsung should be more open. Or test more and/or educate your people more.

2.4 GHz + 5 GHz

OR
2.4 GHz + 6 GHz seems to work for now.
But speed wise, both links are not aggregated.

5 GHz + 6 GHz is not working. You stay connected to one band at the time. When 6 GHz is out of range it connects to 5 GHz. But it should connects to both bands at the same time.
2.4 GHz + 5 GHz + 6 GHz is not working. Same as above. All bands should (re)connect when back in range, but this is not happening.

Once 6 GHz is let go, when walking back to the router, 6 GHz is not reconnected.

The Wi-Fi list shows 2.4 and 5 GHz with a WiFi 7 icon.
But when you connect, it will revert to WiFi 6.

It seems Samsung isn't working with 802.11 be on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. And hopefully therefor MLO isn't working.

Again let's hope the new android will fix these issues.

Anyways TP-Link (and Samsung) have had a lot of time to test this now.
So i am asking TP-Link: Is the Samsung S24 Ultra able to use all MLO features yet?
Did you test it? And what are the results? Or do we wait for a new android?

Any Samsung S25 Ultra users tested the new TP-Link BE800 firmware yet?

I think i am beginning to understand it.

qualcomm . com / products/technology/modems/rf/hbs-diplexer

FastConnect 7800 fully featured implementation of Wi-Fi 7 with HBS Multi-Link, 320MHz, and
4K QAM operation empowers users to experience exceptional ultra-high speeds of up to 5.8 Gbps

It seems when you already got a 320 MHz channel, no more MLO is possible.

As 320 Mhz on 6 GHz already does a link connection of 5764 Mbps.

I was hoping to do 5 GHz 160 MHz + 6 GHz 320 MHz channels to do a linkspeed of 8646 Mbps.

I guess this is not possible with the first generation hardware. Unless software updates may be able to update that.

So 2.4 + 5 GHz and 2.4 + 6 GHz work.
For me completely useless as one 320 MHz channel in 6 GHz is all i need.
I need wireless speed, not range.

We shall wait for more updates!
Android and TP-Link!

Or new hardware....
