New Arrival New Two-Factor Authentication for Deco App
New! Two-Factor Authentication for Deco App
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), which TP-Link just added to the Deco app, has a number of benefits over conventional login techniques. This feature greatly enhances the overall security of user accounts by adding a layer of protection to reduce the possibility of password breaches.
🔒Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication
To configure the feature, you will need your TP-Link ID and account Password, as well as access to the associated email address.
Please navigate to the sidebar settings in the upper left corner, then select "View Account" → "Login Security” to find the new Two-Factor Settings. After first enabling the feature, you will then be asked to verify your email address and confirm your trusted device.

How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in the Deco App
Please Note: The update is rolling out gradually to users and is based on a variety of factors, other than app version. The feature requires the most recent update to the Deco App and may also be dependent on your model, firmware version, and which Deco Nodes you have in your network. Please be patient if you have not yet received the update while our team gets more information on the requirements.
🔒Two Methods for Receiving Authentication Codes
After enabling two-factor authentication, you will be asked to provide a 6-digit code whenever you log in from a new or untrusted device.
- Deco App Notification Delivered to Trusted Devices
- Email Notification with Code
After Enabling Two-Factor Authentication, you can see a list of your trusted devices and remove access for any you do not know of. This can be found after setup under Login Activity and Trusted Devices.
