Model: Deco BE65
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Whenever my PC connects to my network (as in wakes from sleep and starts sending packets) two of my three Decos go offline.

Here's a diagram of my network topology:

The PC connecting knocks out Satellite 1 and 2.

Some additional facts:

  • Everything on my network is using DHCP. I have no static IPs assigned.
  • The AT&T BGW320 is properly configured for IP Passthrough.
  • I have two ethernet NICs in the PC. It doesn't matter which one is connected, it knocks the Satellites offline.
  • This problem did not exist on my network when using mesh products from another provider, and the topology has not changed.

What could be causing this?

I suspect the switch. Did you verify all three Decos have the latest firmware?

@jzchen they do have the newest firmware.

I've also tried swapping out the switch. Still happens. An unmanaged switch, at least in theory, shouldn't really cause an issue here, wouldn't think.

  @MichaelGrosser

Hi, if the PC is wired into one of the satellite Deco BE65 directly, would the same issue start again?

- Or connect the PC to one of the Ethernet ports on the main Deco BE65 to see whether the same issue existed.

By the way, apart from this PC, Do you have other devices? I'm curious if this limitation applies only to this PC or if it affects any wired devices connected to the switch.

Thank you very much and Wait for your reply.

Best regards.
