Model: Deco BE63
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.2.10 20251229 Rel 42008

Starting Friday night, I have been unable to stream any video from Disney Plus on any device on the network - Both wired and wireless.  I have no filtering or parental controls turned on. There are no controls in the Deco app that I can access to turn off any default firewall settings or security software.  The issue applies to Apple TV boxes connected both wired and wireless as well as phones.  If I switch the phone wifi off, streaming on cellular works correctly.

Something has to have changed in the last 3 days...either with Disney or Deco, but the Deco is what seems to be blocking.  I can't see any setting for the Trend Micro protection.  Web searches suggest it may filter or block even if protections are not turned on in the app.

I was able to get the apple tv box to work if I joined the wireless "guest" network.

Try the suggestions listed below.

Thanks for reaching out! I understand that you've been unable to stream Disney Plus on any device connected to your Deco network (both wired and wireless) since Friday night, even though you have no parental controls or filtering enabled. The streaming works fine on cellular data and on the guest network, which suggests the main Deco network is blocking Disney Plus.

Here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve this issue:

1. Identify if it's an ISP issue:
• Disconnect the main Deco from your modem and connect your old router back to the modem for comparison. Try streaming Disney Plus through the old router to see if the issue persists.

2. Ensure no VPN or network proxy is enabled:
• Check that no VPN or network proxy is enabled on your Apple TV boxes or phones.

3. Change the DNS server:
• Open the Deco app, go to MORE > Internet Connection, and change the DNS server to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8. After updating the DNS server, reconnect your devices to the Deco network to ensure the new DNS settings take effect.

4. Check Antivirus or Real-Time Protection feature:
• On several Deco models, the "Antivirus" or "Real-Time Protection" feature (powered by Trend Micro) might block potential websites or services even if you haven't explicitly enabled advanced features. Please check the Antivirus or Real-Time Protection history in your Deco app to see if Disney Plus domains are being blocked there. If you find any Disney Plus related entries, you may need to add them to an approved list or temporarily disable this feature to test.

5. Verify Parental Control settings:
• Double-check the Parental Control settings to ensure there are no content filtering or website blocking rules that might affect streaming services.

Since the guest network works fine, this strongly suggests that security features on the main network are interfering with Disney Plus. The DNS change (step 3) and checking the Antivirus/Real-Time Protection history (step 4) are likely to resolve your issue.

If none of the above fixed your issue please open up a ticket using the instructions in the post below.
