Feature Request: Assign Wired LAN Ports to IoT Network
Model: Deco BE13000
I would like to request the ability to assign a wired LAN port to the IoT network within the Deco app. Currently, the IoT network is available only to wireless devices, with no option to place a wired device into that network segment.
This is a meaningful gap for users who have IoT devices that perform better — or are designed to operate — over a wired connection. In my case, I have a Ring Doorbell and a Lutron Smart Hub, both of which are hardwired but cannot be placed on the IoT network as a result. The only available mitigation is device isolation, which addresses lateral movement but does not provide true network segmentation.
I would suggest either of the following implementations:
1. The ability to designate a physical LAN port as belonging to the IoT network within the Deco app, so that any device connected to that port is treated as an IoT network member.
2. Support for 802.1Q VLAN tagging on the LAN port, which would allow a downstream managed switch to segment wired devices across multiple network tiers.
