That sounds like something I would do. I do not know of or can think of a way to get into the router if it is not in the approved access list. It is as bad as forgetting the user ID and password....

One other thing I found on my router is I have had issues signing on using WIFI on one band vs using the other band. So also try the 2.4 GHz band if 5 GHz does not work.
