I have a blinking orange and green but it won't connect.

The smart 3-way switch is on the same power circuit as my modem so turning the power off to reset the smart switch isn't working.

Please confirm you could turn ON/OFF KS230  manually first, if not, examine the wiring as installation video here.  

Here is a troubleshooting guide for kasa set up concern which you could give it try: 

What should I do if I fail to configure the Kasa device?

 

  • Confirm the correct Wi-Fi password has been given during set up process
  • Make sure VPN is OFF

 

If still the same, can I know at which step the set-up failed and the error on the app? For set up concern,you may also try to reach out hotline service to get step-by-step guidance :
