Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.06

hi i bought the 3way kit 

 

i using them  in 2 different locations for 3way lights  so they both seperate

the 1 works. fine with the phyiscal button and app

 

the 2nd one  the physical switching  works fine.. but the app isnt..

 

if you start with it OFF

 

you click once  to turn on   and turns on

 

to turn it off

is    

Press Off (App Says Off)   Press Again  (App Says ON)   (light goes off)

 

Press again  (App Says Off)  (light still off)  Press AGain (App Says ON)  (light goes on)

 

 

so you need to toggle it several times...

also the LED (Circle)  stays on When Light Is On or Off.. so seems to be a firmware issue?

 

so it has to be software defect...  is there any way to reforce  a Firmware to be pushed onto it.. say if the Firmware is corrupt

 

this way you can click the Firmware version and Force Update.. instead of app saying your up to date..

 

or can it be fixed?  or do i need to return and buy new

  @comet424 

If you could manually turn on HS210 kit properly, but APP status does not align with the actual light status, from some customer feedback,  that could be related to a very long traveler wire on the circuit, it is recommended to test the HS210kit in a different location.

And try to  2* HS210 as a kit, not use HS210 with an ordinary switch for this situation and see if that helps.

  @Solla-topee I have the same problem, and my traveler wires are pretty long.


The traveler wires are what they are, they cannot be shortened.They pass through a 4-way switch and onto the final 3-way. The switches cannot be moved.

 

What is the solution?

  @ArtD thank you for asking, I see one workaround that is using HS210kit as a Kit, not with an ordinary 3-way switch, this helps the switch to receive correct signals after long distance in some circumstances.  If that does not help either, mostly likely the circuit environment is not suitable for the HS210kit, you may need some modification with the house wiring with the help of an electrification,  or use HS210  in a different location or consider other 3 way switches.
