Model: Deco X50 - Outdoor
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.2.8 Build 20240914 Rel 35513

My Network has the ISP connected to a TP-Link ER605 and I have installed 3 BE63 Deco's inside the house with one be the primary Wifi Router. In my backyard I have the Deco X50 outdoor. All are connected via Ehternet Backhaul. The X50 consistently goes offline for what seems to be every few minutes. I've disconnected the ethernet backhaul and the device becomes stable but does not have the best wifi connection to the closet device to form the Mesh network. I've tried different ports on the X50 as well as the switch that is connected to the main Deco Be63. I have what I beleive to be the latest firmware on all the devices. Any recommedations are welcome.

Hi  @JohnD63

Welcome to the community!

Where does the X50-Outdoor connect on the other end of that Ethernet run? For example, does it connect directly to the switch?

What is the switch's model?

Have you tried swapping the Ethernet cable for the X50-Outdoor to rule out the cable being the issue?

Also, do you know if your Deco BE63 is running in Router Mode or Access Point Mode? I ask mainly because you mentioned the ER605, which is also a router. Having two routers in the same network can lead to a double NAT condition, which is prone to causing network anomalies.

  @JohnD63

Hi,

I discovered exactly the same problem with my Deco X50 outdoor, I have been struggling with network for couple of months now, basically since i bought the system :(

I think this part of the log says all about it:

Sat May 24 07:51:59 2025 daemon.err /usr/bin/apsd: apsd_check_eth_has_neigh:1746: Error: can't find ifname[eth1.591] in eth_ifname

Sat May 24 07:51:59 2025 daemon.err /usr/bin/apsd: loop_avoidance_flush_switch_fdb_table:338: Error: set cmd:ssdk_sh fdb entry flush 1

It is OK when I disconnect wired backhaul.....

With wired backhaul my whole network starts getting affected but I see it mostly at devices connected to X50 outdoor

My system is very simple and I am 100% sure this is related to the X50 outdoor firmware bug.

It is also quite confusing with regards to firmware version, I also have a version 1.2.8 Build 20240914 Rel. 35513, while when i check the latest for my region it says this to be the latest: Deco X50-Outdoor(EU)_V1_1.2.6 Build 20240723

I have been continuously struggling with my IOT devices connected to X50 outdoor going offline and me keep restarting the IOT devices all the time to bring them back alive, and over and over again.

My system is Deco BE65 as main deco, unmanaged switch, 3 indoor X50, 4 X50 outdoor.

Please help!

Kind regards,

Mark
